[Question] Rune upgrade !!!
I got several questions after playing 40 hours
1/When u use a rune, for exp, Rune Fire for Ele, apply to item, it becomes + 1, can u get the other Rune Fire, add over it, and 1+1 =2?
If so... wat 's the point of getting Major rune, while it decreases ur health 50 (a problem for Ele,mostly Ele has low HP)
U can use 3 rune Fire = 3 skills instead of using Major one + 3 skills but - 50 health
At Market, pple often sell Major Rune for 1500, wthell I wonder Why
2/My friend told me I can't Apply Rune into second profession, assume my second is Mesmer, i have Rune Domination, i can't apply to item, or use it anyway.
??? Is it truth

If you put a fire rune into your +1 fire headgear, you'll get a total of +2 fire.
Runes of the same attribute do not stack, so if you put a fire rune into your headgear and another fire rune into your armor, you'll still only get +1 fire net. This also is why major and superiors are so sought after, as it is the only way to increase your attribute skills to 15+, and it is also why there's a huge health penalty on them.
You can only use runes for your primary profession, so putting them on your equip is useless.

1) You cant stack Runes (now that you know the term you can search the forums and find plenty of info on not being able to stack runes). You can only get the benefit from 1 minor fire rune at a time. You can add 5 of them but it wont do any good.
2) Major/Superior runes are the only way to add additional points once you have received all your attribute points after lvl 20. If you add a major it will give you +2 ponits but will render your +1 rune useless. You might as well replace the minor with the major. The -50 Hp is just the price you pay. Getting your points up higher is a costly (-HP) thing to do. Superior runes add +3 at a cost of -75 HP. To recoup some of the lost HP you can add Viggor runes. A minor Viggor gives 30 HP, a Major Viggor only gives back 41 HP and a Superior Viggor gives a low 50 HP.
3) You can not add a second profession rune.

ok, i get it,
I just wanna make sure about this
1/If u apply 1 rune to headgear, and other to Legging, u still receive + 1 skill bonus?
2/U already add Major one to headgear, u add Minor to Legging, u receive + 2 skill (Major applied)
"This also is why major and superiors are so sought after, as it is the only way to increase your attribute skills to 15+" said Eclair
I think u say that add Superior rune to 5 item (headgear, armor, legging, gloves, weapon) 3x5=15? If so, it doesn't make sense with those above

Uh no, they mean maxing out one attribute, to twelve, then using a superior to give you +3 in that attribute, that gives you 15, if you use a weapon that ups it by one, then you have 16. See? Oh yeah and if your headgear gives you +1 you'll have 17 with sup, weap and the headgear. I don't quite understand the 3x5 thing. You cannot use a minor, major and sup of the same say, fire, and get +5, only ONE will count as far as I know.
